Sean Keys Accelerates Monster Start Sean Keys smacked two home runs in consecutive at-bats yesterday for Double-A New Hampshire, setting a franchise record for home runs in April. Keys went deep in the second and third innings against Reading, giving him eight home runs on the month. The previous April record was six, held for multiple seasons. With run support behind him, the Fisher Cats rallied from early struggles to secure a 6-4 victory over the Fightin Phils. What's noteworthy here is the trajectory embedded in those back-to-back shots. Keys has been swinging with obvious confidence through the first three weeks of April, and this two-homer performance is a continuation of an absolutely scorching start. Eight homers in 23 days and 69 plate appearances. He's seeing the ball really well and still showing his plus plate discipline adding 9 walks. Key's has limited athleticism so he is going to need to mash to be relevant. He is doing just that in April slashing a .351/.464/.825. His 1.288 OPS trails just Franklin Arias (1.452) in the Double-A Eastern League. Quick Hits Nate George (Orioles No. 2) delivered a career-high five-hit night for High-A Frederick in a 10-9 win over Wilmington. George also went deep for his first homer of the year, adding another dimension to an already impressive contact season. Mitch Jebb (Pirates No. 19) went 4-for-5 with four RBIs for Triple-A Indianapolis, continuing to flash the offensive consistency that pushed him onto prospect radar in recent weeks. Anderson De Los Santos (Orioles) finished 3-for-4 with a double and a homer at Double-A Chesapeake, recording his third long ball of the season. He was one hit away from the cycle for the second time this year—a notable pattern for a young hitter. Jacob Reimer (Mets No. 3) matched his career high with four hits for Double-A Binghamton, staying hot at the plate and continuing to validate his standing in New York's system. Fayetteville pitching took center stage in a 7-1 thrashing of Myrtle Beach. Javier Perez (22, from Mexico) earned his first quality start with six innings and seven strikeouts; Charlie Weber followed from the bullpen with three perfect innings and six strikeouts. The duo allowed just three hits combined, a dominant display that puts both arms on the prospect-development radar for the Astros system. Andrew Fischer (Brewers No. 11) recorded his first multi-homer game of his career for High-A Wisconsin, his second long ball of the season adding credibility to his power projection. Fischer has flashed inconsistency early in the season, but the two-homer night suggests his raw tools remain intact. Stat of the Day Jackson Hornung extended his hit streak to 15 consecutive games for New Hampshire. That run now ranks tied for the 16th-longest in Fisher Cats franchise history and represents the longest such streak since Forrest Wall in 2019. On the Radar Patrick Winkel , recently signed by Toronto and assigned to Double-A New Hampshire, made his organizational debut yesterday. The catcher reached base three times: two walks and a single. Winkel spent his first 5 seasons in the Twins organization.
