Elle Elena

Elle Elena writes about baseball the way a lot of serious fans actually watch it: half Statcast rabbit hole, half “that ball was murdered.” She’s based in Chicago, spends way too much time on Double-A box scores, and will drive out of her way for a Tuesday night MiLB game if the pitching matchup looks weird enough. She grew up trying to play less soccer and more wiffle ball. On 80Grade, she covers prospects, player development, and the stuff you notice if you’re still in the seats in the ninth.
