Jace LaViolette
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given the physicality and plus raw power, he projects as a potential everyday right fielder who hits in the middle third of a lineup if the hit tool climbs to fringe-average. More conservatively, he profiles as a second-division regular or strong-side platoon bat whose value is driven by homers, walks, and solid corner defense. To reach the ceiling, he must trim the strikeouts through better swing decisions and slight swing efficiency gains without sacrificing his ability to drive the ball in the air. If the contact never fully comes, he could still impact a roster as a power-focused corner outfielder who moves between everyday and bench roles depending on team context.
