Brendan Summerhill
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his combination of athleticism, up-the-middle defensive profile, and advanced contact skills, Summerhill projects as an everyday center fielder if the hit tool holds and the power creeps toward average. The most realistic offensive outcome is a high-contact, high-OBP bat with doubles power, 10–15 home runs, and value added through baserunning and defense rather than carrying slug. If game power stalls, he still has a path as a second-division regular or high-end fourth outfielder, leveraging on-base ability and positional versatility. Continued physical maturation and organizational emphasis on attacking pitches he can lift to his pull side will determine whether he reaches the everyday ceiling or settles into more of a role-player profile.
