Patrick Forbes
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Forbes has the ingredients to develop into a mid-rotation starter: a mid-to-upper-90s fastball with carry and a breaking ball that can miss bats. The key steps are sustaining health, building innings, and making the changeup and strike execution dependable enough to navigate a lineup repeatedly. His early pro performance supports optimism about his ability to throw more strikes, but the limited workload and flexor/elbow concerns lower the floor. If durability or command stalls, the fastball-slider combination could instead fit a leverage relief role.
