Henry Godbout
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Godbout has a plausible path to the majors as a versatile second baseman whose carrying traits are contact ability, strike-zone awareness, and enough offensive feel to keep innings alive. The most optimistic outcome is an everyday second-division regular if the recent power growth proves real and he holds his own against Double-A velocity; the safer projection is a utility infielder who plays multiple infield positions and contributes quality at-bats. His floor is protected by contact and baseball instincts, but limited physical margin and only average projected defensive tools leave little room for the bat to underperform.
