Scouting summary
Dickerson's 2025 college breakthrough represents meaningful progress but requires validation against professional pitching to determine sustainability. Draft positioning in fifth round reflects evaluators' appropriate caution regarding track record and approach concerns. Best-case scenario develops as everyday corner outfielder in right field with 15-20 annual home run production supplemented by speed and athleticism. Conservative projection sees him settle as reserve outfielder or fourth outfielder given questions about contact ability versus premium pitching. Development of plate discipline and pitch recognition will determine whether he achieves regular major league role versus reserve status.
