Brian Curley
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Curley has the ingredients of a back-end starter with a fallback path to a multi-inning bullpen role if the strike-throwing backs up. The fastball and slider give him a real chance to miss bats, and the quick arm adds enough deception that the stuff should play better than the raw frame suggests. His present command and contact-management issues keep him from projecting more aggressively, especially given the homer and traffic risk in the early pro sample. If the secondary stuff stays sharp and the walk rate remains manageable, he can settle into a fifth-starter outcome; if not, the same arsenal could work in relief.
