Isaiah Jackson
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Jackson has a realistic path to becoming a useful up-the-middle role player because the defensive value gives him a margin for error that many late-round bats do not have. The offensive ceiling is tied to whether the hit tool reaches at least fringe-average, because the power and center-field defense can support a roster spot but probably not an everyday bat if the whiffs remain heavy. If the contact gains come, he can outplay the draft slot as a regularish center fielder; if they do not, he still looks like a bench outfielder who can defend and provide some right-handed-leaning power production. The most likely outcome is a defense-first reserve with enough pop to matter in matchups.
