Leighton Finley
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Finley offers a useful starter’s frame, a fastball that has reached the upper 90s, and a deceptive low-slot delivery, but current evidence points to a developmental back-end profile rather than a high-end rotation ceiling. The slider gives him a potential bat-missing weapon; the secondary pitches and command will need to become more dependable for him to navigate lineups multiple times. His 2026 walk and baserunner totals reinforce that command is the central risk. A long-relief or swing role is the more conservative path, with occasional MLB opportunities possible if he throws more consistent strikes and sustains his stuff.
