Jacob Wilson
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Projects as legitimate major league shortstop or potential third base candidate built entirely on contact hitting and on-base skills. Offensive ceiling likely capped at star-level player rather than superstar given power limitations. Best comparable outcome resembles Luis Arraez profile with marginally more power potential. Defensive value at shortstop provides reasonable floor as everyday player, though positional move could enhance overall value proposition. All-Star appearances appear within realistic range given 2025 trajectory, but ultimate ceiling more consistent with annual .300-plus average hitter producing 10-15 home runs rather than 30-homer slugger. Career arc likely features consistency and reliability rather than dramatic power development.
