Juan Martinez
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Projects as an offensive-minded second baseman with above-average on-base ability and moderate gap power, driven by his switch-hitting contact skills and patient approach. If the hit tool and discipline carry against upper-level pitching, he could settle into a top-of-order or low-middle-of-order profile, relying more on doubles, steals and table-setting than home runs. Defensive value likely comes from steady, average work at second base and utility capability around the infield rather than premium range or arm. Ceiling is an everyday regular at peak, but given risk in translating complex-level performance, a more conservative expectation is a second-division regular or multi-spot infield contributor.
