JoJo Romero
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Established major league relief specialist who projects to continue functioning as a dependable back-end reliever or setup man. His elite ground ball inducement rate and solid command make him a reliable option in high-leverage situations, though his below-average strikeout rate and declining fastball velocity limit his upside potential. Best utilized against right-handed hitters or in multi-inning relief roles where his contact management philosophy is most effective. Could earn occasional save opportunities but unlikely to function as a primary closer given strikeout deficiencies. Durability and availability remain moderate concerns given previous injury patterns.
