Jonny DeLuca

Scouting summary
Projects as valuable speed-and-defense asset suitable for premium short-side platoon role against left-handed pitching or as backup/utility outfielder. Realistic ceiling of 15-home run/30-steal season with .250+ batting average if durability improves and regular playing time established. More likely scenario is continued utility role with occasional starts against lefties or games where speed advantage particularly valuable. Defensive excellence and speed tool provide roster value independent of offensive production. Success dependent entirely on ability to remain healthy and avoid recurring soft-tissue injuries that have plagued 2024-2025.
