David McCabe

Scouting summary
McCabe's path is a power-and-on-base role at first base, with occasional third-base exposure if his throwing and mobility permit it. The switch-hitting ability, mature strike-zone foundation, and recent 2026 power surge give him a credible chance to reach the majors as a bench or platoon option, but the defensive limitations leave little margin for prolonged offensive inconsistency. His ceiling is a second-division first baseman who can provide damage against favorable matchups; the more conservative floor is an up-down corner bat. Sustaining contact quality against upper-level velocity and demonstrating a healthy throwing program are the clearest determinants.
