Jayden Murray
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given age and modest raw stuff, he projects best as an up-down middle reliever who can cover multiple innings when his command is in line. Ceiling looks like low-leverage MLB bullpen piece who survives on solid strike-throwing and a playable fastball/slider combination rather than impact swing-and-miss. Floor is a Triple-A depth arm who shuttles to the big club when fresh innings are needed. Path to the modest ceiling requires tightening fastball command to both edges, retaining mid-90s velocity in short stints, and firming up his slider as a more consistent chase pitch. Significant role expansion beyond that is unlikely without a notable velo bump or a leap in breaking-ball quality.
