Tyler Callihan
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Callihan remains a depth offensive player whose path is tied to recovering enough contact to make his average power and strike-zone awareness meaningful. The present defensive profile is fringy at second base and left field, so he needs to show dependable corner-outfield work or regain enough infield utility to keep a roster spot. At age 26, substantial physical projection is unlikely, and the 2026 strikeout trend lowers confidence that the former hit-over-power profile will fully return. The realistic ceiling is a left-handed bench or up-and-down bat capable of covering several positions; the floor is a Triple-A corner/utility player if the swing-and-miss persists.
