Riley Cornelio
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
The velocity jump gives Cornelio a realistic major league relief path, with a fastball that now sits in the mid-90s and can reach the upper-90s and a slider that can miss bats when properly shaped. The likely ceiling is a middle-relief or setup-adjacent role if he can keep the delivery synced and turn his control into dependable command. The floor is an up-and-down arm whose strikeout stuff is offset by walks and inconsistent fastball execution. A durable relief workload and improved first-pitch strike rate are the clearest requirements for establishing himself.
