Jackson Finley
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Finley’s clearest route is as a multi-inning reliever, where a fastball that has reached 99 mph and a firm, bat-missing slider can play in shorter bursts. His 2026 work, including a 2.77 ERA over 48.2 innings at Double-A, supports a rebound after missing 2025, but it does not erase the earlier control record or the health questions. The changeup and curve provide depth, though their consistency and his ability to sustain command will determine whether he can remain a starter. A long-relief or shuttle role is the conservative outcome, with further injury interruption the primary downside.
