Cameron Weston
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his age, stuff, and performance track record, he most realistically projects as a multi-inning bullpen arm or up-and-down depth starter rather than a locked-in rotation piece. If command takes a modest step forward and the sweeper continues to sharpen, he could fill a long-relief role that exploits his arsenal depth one to two times through an order. Without that progress, he profiles as a spot starter or shuttle reliever who can cover innings but may struggle to miss big league bats consistently. The path to a stable MLB job runs through better zone control with the sinker, establishing the sweeper as a reliable chase pitch, and trimming free passes.
