Core Jackson
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Projects as potential utility infielder or defensive-oriented shortstop at professional levels. Hit tool ceiling appears average, limiting offensive production expectations. Arm strength and defensive actions support remaining at shortstop, potentially in bench capacity. May profile better in utility role leveraging defensive versatility across infield. Development depends significantly on pitch recognition improvement and ability to elevate fastballs with consistency. Realistic ceiling suggests complementary player rather than everyday contributor, though recent college performance indicates floor higher than current minor league results.
