Jaden Woods
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Woods projects as a left-handed relief arm with enough velocity and slider quality to reach the majors, but not enough complete starter traits to bank on rotation work. The fastball is the carrying pitch, and the slider gives him a real bat-missing weapon, which is supported by the strikeout rates in the upper minors. The changeup remains the separator between a setup-type lefty and a more vulnerable matchup arm, and the broader command profile is solid but not airtight. The most likely path is a multi-inning or setup role if the strikes hold; if the command backs up or the secondary mix stalls, he fits more as an up-and-down bullpen piece.
