Marco Raya
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Raya’s best path is as a multi-inning or middle-relief option whose cutter, curveball and sweeper can support a focused, short-stint arsenal. The curveball is the carrying pitch, but the fastball plays below its raw velocity and his control has backed up from earlier average expectations, limiting the probability of a stable rotation role. The 2025 and 2026 workload shift toward relief may help preserve stuff and simplify sequencing, although the continued home-run and run-prevention problems leave him with an up-and-down floor. If he can consistently fill the zone with the cutter and keep the breaking balls below the barrel, he has a chance to settle into a useful major-league relief role.
