Brendan Girton
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Girton has the ingredients of a usable pro arm, led by a lively fastball and a breaking ball that can miss bats when his delivery is timed. The 2025 performance hints at back-end starter capability in the right environment, but the 2026 walk rate and home-run spike are a reminder that his margin for error is thin. The most likely development path is a move toward multi-inning relief or a swingman role, with a ceiling as a fifth starter if the command stabilizes enough to let the fastball/slider mix work over multiple trips through a lineup.
