Noah Miller
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Miller’s clearest route to a major-league role is as a defense-first middle infielder whose shortstop actions can create value even if the bat remains modest. His range, hands, instincts and arm give him a plausible chance to handle the position, while switch-hitting contact offers a base for a useful offensive contribution. The primary ceiling constraint is a combination of chase, weak ground-ball contact and little demonstrated power; improvement in swing decisions matters more than simply adding strength. A utility role is the conservative projection, with a lower floor if the bat cannot hold against major-league pitching and a higher outcome if the glove and contact translate consistently.
