Isaiah Barkett

Scouting summary
Barkett has a plausible path as a contact-oriented organizational infielder who reaches the upper minors through bat-to-ball ability, strike-zone control, and defensive versatility. The most favorable outcome is a second-division or utility role if the amateur contact skill remains intact and added strength turns some of his line drives into consistent gap damage. His speed gives him another way to contribute, but the offensive ceiling is constrained by modest demonstrated power and the need to prove that his contact quality holds against professional velocity and breaking balls. He is more likely to advance as a flexible second baseman than as a regular at a corner position.
