Jurrangelo Cijntje
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Cijntje has the ingredients of a mid-rotation starter if the right-handed delivery continues to sharpen and the left-handed look remains a useful change-of-pace wrinkle rather than a novelty. The velocity and breaking-ball quality are good enough to miss bats, but the walk totals and homer volatility show that the command is still below the standard for an everyday starter. His floor is more of a power reliever or swingman if the strike-throwing never gets to an average level, especially if teams decide the switch-pitch usage is too hard to manage over a full season. The most realistic path is a starter outcome built on athleticism, deception, and a bat-missing breaking ball, with the command determining whether he reaches that ceiling or settles into shorter stints.
