Dalton Pence
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
The most realistic path is a left-handed relief role built around a riding low-90s fastball, with the slider and changeup giving him enough variation to navigate both sides of the plate. The 2026 performance is encouraging because he handled a move from relief into starting and reached Triple-A, but it represents a limited sample rather than proof of a durable rotation profile. If his command improves toward average and the secondary pitches become reliable, he could settle into a useful middle-relief or multi-inning job; if the fastball remains overly dominant and the walks persist, an up-down or organizational outcome is more likely. The elbow history and limited professional workload keep the starter ceiling conservative.
