Mitch Voit
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Voit projects as a bat-first second baseman with enough athleticism, speed, and on-base skill to carve out an everyday role if the contact quality keeps progressing. The offensive ceiling is tied to whether the hit tool settles in against higher-end breaking stuff and whether the power becomes more consistent than merely present. If the bat lands in the average range, his speed and ability to steal bases add a meaningful layer that can make him a well-rounded regular rather than a specialist. The floor is still playable because he brings enough defensive value for second base and enough offensive energy to contribute in multiple ways, but the bat will determine whether he becomes an impact regular or a useful secondary starter.
