Ike Irish
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Irish looks like a bat-first corner outfielder with a chance to become an everyday regular if the hit tool continues to translate and the game power keeps climbing. The ceiling is tied to him turning enough of his contact quality into lofted damage, while the floor is a useful left-handed bat who fits in a lower- or mid-order role. Given the current defensive fit and the offensive shape, left field is the most conservative MLB projection. If the bat remains as polished as it has looked against good competition, he should move steadily toward a regular role, but the glove likely keeps him on the corner rather than up the spectrum.
