Parker Messick
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Backend starting pitcher profile with excellent floor due to command and pitchability. Projects as reliable rotational depth and potential back-end starter who succeeds through deception, sequencing, and command rather than elite stuff. Comparable profile to other successful Guardians-developed pitchers who rely on control and changeup effectiveness. Should establish himself as consistent fourth or fifth starter with opportunity to contribute meaningful innings. Candidacy for 2026 AL Rookie of the Year given strong debut performance.
