Brendan Jones
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Projects as high-floor, low-ceiling valuable depth outfielder at major league level. Likely career path includes backup/fourth outfielder role, pinch-runner specialization, and defensive versatility across all outfield positions. Speed and contact skills should translate to professional level, but limited power will restrict playing time and position flexibility. Best-case outcome resembles Brett Gardner archetype—consistent depth contributor providing defensive value, baserunning aggression, and occasional spot starts. Ceiling precludes regular starter status or significant contributions as everyday player. Realistic WAR projection suggests 0-1 win range as depth piece rather than impact contributor.
