Mike Boeve
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Boeve projects as a bat-oriented third baseman whose value will come from contact quality, on-base ability, and enough defensive competence to keep him on the dirt. The best-case path is a steady everyday regular with moderate extra-base output, but the more likely outcome is a second-division regular who can hit enough to hold down a corner-infield role without carrying the lineup. If the power makes only a small step forward, he can still reach the majors because of his strike-zone control and bat-to-ball feel. If the bat stalls against better velocity and sequencing, the floor is a bench corner infielder or up-down depth piece.
