Seth Keener

Pitching scouting report · 80Grade

Scouting summary

Three-pitch mix, prior above-average control and a mid-90s fastball with a plus-leaning slider still give him a plausible path to a middle relief role if health and command stabilize. The shoulder impingement, rising walk rates and rough ERAs at the upper levels temper expectations, suggesting a realistic outcome as a depth arm who shuttles between Double-A, Triple-A and occasional big-league looks. To reach a more stable major league role, he needs to regain prior zone control, sharpen fastball life/command and reestablish trust in the changeup to neutralize lefties. Given his age, college background and current performance trend, the ceiling now looks more like a low-leverage or swingman reliever, with the floor of an organizational innings provider if the command never fully returns.

Projected MLB role: quad-a reliever
