Zach Cole
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Cole has a legitimate carrying foundation in his arm strength, running ability, center-field range, and raw power, but the hit tool and decision-making have not developed at a rate that supports an everyday projection. His best path is as a left-handed platoon or bench outfielder who can defend center field, cover the corners, run, and change a game with occasional power. The floor is a Quad-A profile if the strikeout rate continues to overwhelm the damage, while a sustained improvement in breaking-ball recognition could produce a useful fourth-outfielder role. At his age, substantial physical projection is unlikely; the remaining upside is almost entirely tied to contact quality, chase reduction, and role optimization.
