Aidan Smith
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his age, physicality, and mix of tools, Smith projects as an athletic center fielder with a chance to grow into a second-division regular if the hit tool consolidates. The speed, arm, and flashes of power give him multiple avenues to value, but current swing-and-miss and streakiness create a wide range of outcomes. Realistically, his path runs through tightening swing decisions, shortening the path enough to allow more frequent contact while still leveraging natural bat speed. If those adjustments stall, he more likely settles into a bench or up-down role with defensive versatility and occasional pop; if they click, he can anchor center with average-ish offense and solid overall contribution.
