Brandon Winokur
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Winokur's path is built around unusual athleticism for his size, plus raw power, and enough speed and arm strength to provide defensive flexibility. If the swing decisions and contact rate improve, he has a chance to become a useful corner-outfield regular with occasional center-field value; the more realistic near-term outcome is a power/speed reserve who moves between Triple-A and the majors. His floor is limited by the combination of long-lever swing length, elevated strikeout risk, and uncertain final defensive home. At age 21 in Double-A, there is still time for meaningful adjustment, but the offensive approach must progress before the raw tools translate into a stable MLB role.
