Cam Caminiti
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Caminiti has the ingredients of a solid mid-rotation lefty if the command comes forward enough to let the stuff play in deeper counts. The fastball quality and age-relative performance support a starter projection, but the current strike-throwing is still more developmental than finished, which keeps the ceiling grounded below the true frontline tier. He should have a path to a rotation spot because he already mixes pitches like a starter and has shown he can work through innings, but the present walk rate and arm-health history leave more risk here than in a typical polished first-round arm. The most likely outcome is a useful major league starter with some volatility in the early years.
