Kannon Kemp
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Projects as potential No. 4 starter at absolute ceiling if secondary pitches develop and command improves with maturation. Fastball serves as clear carrying tool providing foundation, but slider and changeup must become significantly more consistent and quality to support starting pitcher role long-term. Raw nature of pitcher and need for secondary development suggests extended timeline compared to more polished prospects. Current trajectory favors reliever role if primary pitches do not improve substantially. Reliever upside remains viable alternative path given fastball quality and recent performance improvements in limited appearances. Health monitoring remains paramount given shoulder surgery in 2024.
