Cam Maldonado

Scouting summary
Maldonado has a plausible path as an athletic, second-division center fielder whose value comes from playable defense, plus running ability, and enough power to punish mistakes. The 2026 production is encouraging: he combined a solid San Jose season with a loud but brief Eugene surge, while the broader profile is supported by a strong 2025 college season and above-average batted-ball impact. His ceiling depends on reducing the breaking-ball and offspeed vulnerability without sacrificing the contact and opposite-field ability already present. The floor is lower if the stiff swing and recognition issues persist, in which case the profile could settle into a bench or up-and-down outfielder.
