Dylan Jordan

Pitching scouting report · 80Grade

Scouting summary

With a plus sinker that already plays in the mid-90s and flashes of an above-average breaker, he has the ingredients of a future back-end to solid mid-rotation starter if the command and changeup continue to progress. The most realistic outcome is a durable #4 starter who leans on ground balls and average strikeout rates, with the sinker/slider combo carrying the profile. Should the slider consistently grade out plus and the changeup reach fringe-average to average, there is a path to a #3-type if the command settles around average and he holds velocity across a full workload. Conversely, if the changeup stalls and strike-throwing backslides against better hitters, his stuff would still fit in a multi-inning relief role where the fastball could play up in shorter bursts.

Projected MLB role: #4 starter
