Scott Bandura
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his age relative to level and current production, Bandura projects most realistically as a fourth outfielder who can spot-start in the corners and provide some on-base ability and opportunistic baserunning. The lack of a true plus tool—particularly in raw power or top-of-the-scale speed—caps his ceiling, as corner bats generally need more impact to carry an everyday role. However, his combination of contact skills, plate discipline, and solid-average defense gives him multiple avenues to carve out value in a limited role. If the strength gains he has shown continue and the swing finds a bit more consistent lift, there is a narrow path to a second-division regular outcome, but the more conservative expectation is a bench piece who shuttles between Triple-A and the majors. Durability and makeup give confidence he will get the most out of his tools even if the final role is modest.
