Jake Casey
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Jake Casey presents as a potential depth outfield option if his college performance translates to professional level. The combination of plus speed and plus arm gives him defined skill set, but hit tool and power must develop against higher quality opposition to profile as everyday player. Most realistic outcome involves extended minor league development with ceiling of second-division regular and floor of utility outfielder. Late-round draft picks rarely develop into impact players, and Casey's limited early professional sample suggests continued refinement needed.
