Grant Rogers

Pitching scouting report · 80Grade

Scouting summary

Rogers has the physical ingredients and pitch volume to remain a starting option, but the present combination of low strikeout impact, elevated home-run exposure and worsening Triple-A run prevention points toward a more modest outcome. His best path is to simplify around the sinker, cutter and splitter, recover the better velocity he showed in 2025, and use his large frame to create consistent downhill strikes rather than trying to win with six separate offerings. If the slider and splitter become dependable finishing pitches, he can reach the majors as a long reliever or spot starter. The floor is a depth arm, and at age 25 the remaining projection is more about refinement than a wholesale stuff transformation.

Projected MLB role: up-down long reliever
