Theo Gillen
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Gillen has the look of a player who can settle in as a regular center fielder if the hit tool remains playable against better sequencing and velocity. The speed, on-base ability, and developing pop give him a multi-faceted offensive base, and the fact that he has already performed at multiple levels for his age supports an everyday ceiling. The floor is lower if the swing-and-miss grows against advanced pitching, but his athleticism and walk-oriented approach give him enough routes to value that he should at least remain a strong up-the-middle candidate.
