Dasan Hill
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his youth, left-handedness, and present fastball velocity, Hill projects as a potential mid-rotation starter with a realistic outcome in the back half of a rotation or late-inning bullpen if command stalls. The path to the optimistic outcome runs through improved strike-throwing, especially arm-side fastball and consistent changeup usage to neutralize righties. His stuff base is already near big-league caliber, but refining his ability to pitch efficiently will dictate whether he reaches the projected ceiling. Continued physical development and experience against upper-level hitters should clarify whether he can hold velocity over 150-plus innings and repeat his delivery enough for a #3 profile, or shifts toward a high-octane relief role.
