Ethan Bagwell
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Bagwell has the ingredients of a back-end starter: a playable fastball, a usable slider, a developing changeup, and enough strike-throwing to keep innings moving. His 2026 performance supports the idea that he can handle a starter workload and miss enough bats to stay on a rotation track, but the stuff does not yet separate him as more than a solid No. 5 type. The path to the majors likely depends on the fastball getting a bit more consistent at the top of the zone and one secondary pitch becoming a more reliable finisher. If the changeup stalls, the fallback is a relief role, but the current shape of the arsenal still points first to starting.
