Jack Wheeler
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Wheeler has the look of a young corner infielder whose offensive future will be driven by how much usable contact he makes against higher-level pitching. The size, strength, and early game power give him a real chance to grow into an everyday third baseman if the hit tool settles into average territory and the strikeout rate comes down. The floor is more of a power-oriented lower-division corner bat if the whiff and chase remain elevated. The path to the majors runs through better pitch recognition and enough defensive consistency to stay at third instead of sliding into a bat-first role.
