Nick Potter
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Potter’s ceiling is that of a late-inning power reliever who rides a lively fastball and a playable breaking ball through high-leverage pockets. The current package, plus the relief-only history, makes a starter conversion unlikely unless a third pitch emerges and the command tightens substantially. His floor is a generic bullpen arm who can miss bats in bursts but struggles to stay in the zone consistently enough for trusted MLB work. The strong 2026 run supports the idea that the arm talent is real, but the development path still runs through fastball quality, repeatability, and sharpened strike throwing.
