Ely Brown
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Brown looks like a lower-variance on-base bat who can help a roster if the hit tool remains playable and the speed keeps putting pressure on defenses. The offensive ceiling is tied to whether he can add enough strength and impact to keep pitchers from living at the edges, because the current power output is light for an everyday corner-outfield profile. If the hit and walk package holds, he has a path to a fourth-outfielder or part-time left-field role; if the bat stalls against better arms, he fits more naturally as a bench piece. The most plausible development arc is steady role-player value rather than a major jump into everyday regular status.
